Import the statement
Use a dated positions CSV for immediate self-serve parsing, or the private Concierge document flow for PDF, CSV, JPG and PNG statements.

Normalize the holdings
Atamatax maps available names, tickers, ISINs, quantities, basis and year-end values into the existing return data model.

Review every classification
Exact dataset matches, potential pooled-fund indicators and missing domicile data are shown separately. Unknown is never treated as proof that a holding is safe.

Continue into filing
Supported holdings and transactions feed the PFIC, Form 8621, FBAR and Form 8938 workflows; unresolved facts stay in the review queue.
Results you can inspect
Holding-by-holding, not a portfolio-level guess.
- Security name plus ticker, ISIN or CUSIP when the source provides it.
- PFIC indicator and confidence: exact match, potential pooled fund, or missing information.
- Reason for the indicator, including domicile and collective-investment signals.
- Separate account-level checks for a foreign brokerage, FBAR and Form 8938.
A foreign account is not itself a PFIC. Forms are surfaced only from the supported account, asset and holding logic.
Sensitive financial data
Validated before storage, owned before access.
- Server-side size, extension, MIME and magic-byte validation.
- Sanitized display filenames and generated storage paths—never client paths.
- Private Supabase bucket with owner-scoped read policy; no public object URLs.
- Server authorization against the signed-in user and owned Concierge filing.
- Content hashes for duplicate detection and metadata-only audit events.
- Failed database registration removes the uploaded object.
