When do I pay?

Only at the file step. Draft computation, the engine output, and the in-wizard summary are always free.

Atamatax is free to use end-to-end as a draft. We compute your federal tax, surface every form you'd file, and show you the engine output before you pay.

Payment is required when you generate the signature-ready PDF package or e-file (once available). Tiers are flat per return: $299 (no PFICs), $499 (PFICs), $799 (PFICs + treaty positions + multi-year backfile).

Refund policy: if we can't generate a complete filing for your situation, we refund in full. The pricing page has the complete terms.
